ABS INDICATOR LIGHT "ON"

DIAGNOSIS - Solenoid DTC 31

SYMPTOM - Open/short to body ground/short power stuck.

DETECTION TIMING
Initial Diagnosis - no
Except ABS Control - yes
During ABS Control - yes
During Warning - no

PROBABLE CAUSE
- Open, short to body ground and/or short to power in the solenoid drive circuit.
- Open in the COM circuit.
- Open solenoid.
- Faulty ABS control unit.


CONDITION FOR DETECTION
The main relay repeats ON/OFF switching at all times.
- When the main relay is ON, a short test pulse is sent to each valve. If there is some discrepancy, the ABS indicator light comes on.
- When the main relay is OFF, a short test pulse is sent to each valve. If the solenoid drive voltage is out of a given range, the ABS indicator light comes on.
