B2 - Glass Weatherstrip Replacement
B2 - GLASS RUN (WEATHERSTRIP) REPLACEMENT1. With the door window all the way down, remove the screw from the top of the quarter window. Then pull the rear half of the quarter window seal (the glass run) up and out of the run channel. and peel the front half out of the front of the quarter window frame.
2. Lube the upper part of the channel in the front of the quarter window frame with soapy water. Then install the front portion of the new seal by sliding it down into the soapy channel.
3. Install the glass run portion of the seal working from the top of the glass down. If you can't get the run all the way down into the channel, lube the channel with soapy water; do not use silicone or grease.
4. Remove the door speaker and its housing. Then reach through the hole in the door panel, and pull the end of the glass run all the way down into position. Push the excess glass run forward under the end of the channel and up past the end of the weatherstrip clip, as shown, to keep it in place.
5. Reinstall the screw in the top of the quarter window.
6. Go to Al on page 5, and follow steps 6 thru 11 to check weatherstrip fit and to seal the top corner of the quarter window.
