A5 - Roof Flushness Adjustment
A5 - ROOF FLUSHNESS ADJUSTMENT1. With the roof installed and locked, check the curvature of its front corners compared to the edge of the windshield header. The front edges of both roof corners should be flush with the edge of the header, or not more than 1 mm above it.
2. If the front edge of either corner is more than 1 mm above the header. release both roof latches, and place rolled-up shop towels between the roof and the header on the side to be adjusted. With a soft rubber mallet, gently hammer along the edge of that corner until it matches the curvature of the header. (The roof is aluminum and can be easily reshaped.) Don't hammer too hard; you could crack the paint.
3. Remove the shop towel, and recheck the height. Repeat until the roof fits correctly.
