Fuel Filler Cap: Description and Operation

Fuel Filler Cap:

PURPOSE
The Fuel Filler Cap, located on the left rear fender above the rear wheel, is designed to prevent fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere.

OPERATION
It uses a built in relief valve which also introduces outside air into the tank when negative pressure is present to prevent the fuel tank from collapsing. When tightening cap, turn clockwise until cap clicks at least three clicks, to prevent vapor loss.
