Fails Emission Test

Check in Order Listed:

- Engine Control Module
Check MIL action (see Diagnostic Trouble Code Extraction). Is MIL coming on/are codes stored/is light on steady?

- Emission Control System
Evaporative Emission Controls - Perform Evaporative System tests as shown for Emission System.
Catalytic Converter - Perform Catalytic Converter tests as shown for Emissions System.
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
Perform Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor tests as shown for DTC 3 & 5.

- Fuel Supply System
Fuel Injector - Perform Fuel Injector test as shown for DTC 16.
Injector Resistor - Perform test of Injector Resistor.
Contaminated Fuel - Inspect for contaminated fuel.
Fuel Pressure Regulator - Perform Fuel Pressure Regulator tests as shown in fuel system.

- Heated Oxygen Sensor or Non-heated Oxygen Sensor
Perform Oxygen Sensor tests as shown for DTC's 1 & 41.

- Idle Air Control Valve (IAC)
Perform Idle Air Control Valve tests as shown for DTC 14. Inspect hoses and Connections.
