Control Arm: Service and Repair
1. Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove rear wheels and brake drums or discs.2. Disconnect brake line and parking brake cable.
3. Remove backing plate assembly.
4. On models so equipped, remove stabilizer bar locknuts and mounting bolts, then stabilizer bar.

5. Remove radius arm nuts and bolts, then radius arm, Figs. 1 and 2.
6. Remove shock absorber pinch bolt, then separate hub carrier from shock absorber.
7. Remove lower control arm bolts, then control arm.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque fasteners to specifications.
