Removal

Ensure dirt or other foreign matter is not allowed to contaminate brake fluid. Do not mix different types of brake fluid, as they might not be compatible.

Fig. 5 Front Pin Sliding Disc Brake Caliper:

1. Refer to Fig. 5 when replacing calipers.
2. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assemblies.

Fig. 19 Brake Line Banjo Bolt:

3. Remove banjo bolt and disconnect brake hose from caliper, Fig. 11.
4. Remove caliper bolts, then the caliper.
