Water Leak Instructions and Materials

GENERAL WATER LEAK INSTRUCTIONS

Have an assistant sit inside the car to verify the location of the leak. Use a free-flowing hose running at full stream. Test the car as follows:

NOTE:
Avoid using high-pressure water to test a suspected leak area. The force of the water pressure may cause a good weatherstrip to leak falsely.





1. Hold the water hose parallel with the roof. The water should flow a smooth sheet for a few feet before it reaches the suspected leak area. If no leaks are found, proceed to the next step.






2. Direct the water at the A pillar as shown by the arrows. Make note of the direction of the hose when the leak occurs.



Once the leaks are noted, perform the repairs listed under REPAIR PROCEDURE.
