CORRECTIVE ACTION

Install the Door Kit listed under PARTS INFORMATION in both doors.

1. With the window up, place a piece of masking tape across the glass and the center pillar weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

2. Draw a line across the tape with a pen; then, cut the tape in two along the glass edge with a razor blade. (In step 5, you'll match up the two lines on the tape to make sure you've adjusted the glass to its original height.)

3. Lower the window; then, insert a 3 mm hex wrench into the rear stop screw. Tilt the wrench towards the glass to unlock the screw, and carefully remove the stop screw.

NOTE:
Be careful not to drop the screw. If the screw is accidentally dropped, the door panel must be removed to recover the screw.

4. Hold a small piece of paper over the socket on the new stop screw; then, press the end of the wrench into the socket to hold the screw in place. Carefully install the screw into the stopper plate.

5. Using the line on the masking tape as a guide, adjust the new stop screw until the window is back to its original height when closed.

NOTE:
One full turn of the stop screw equals 1mm (0.04 inch).

6. Remove the original wedge striker from the door, and install the new one from the kit.

7. Remove the original rubber wedge from the door opening, and install the new one from the kit. Do not tighten the screws fully.

8. Open and close the door several times to center the wedge on the striker.

9. Tighten the wedge screws to the required torque.

10. Install the rest of the kit parts on the other door by following Steps 1 through 9.
