Clutch Switch: Description and Operation
PURPOSEThe clutch switch signals the Engine Control Module (ECM) when then clutch pedal is depressed.
OPERATION
A 5.0 volt signal is output from the ECM terminal B7, passes through the clutch switch if the pedal is not depressed, and returns to ECM terminal A26 to complete the circuit. Depressing the clutch pedal causes the switch to open and break the circuit.
