If you have questions about matching or formulas, ask your local paint jobber or distributor, or have them call the paint company's nearest branch office.

The '84 paint codes are listed on the back of this page. Original paint is acrylic enamel excepton CRX plastic panels. Paint on CRX plastic panels is acrylic urethane. (The front fenders, grill header panel, and lower side panels are "HP Alloy", a combination of ABS and polycarbonate. Repair them with 3M Flexible Parts Repair Material # 05900.) Metallic colors (codes end in M) and Victoria red (R-39) have clear coat over the color coat.

None of the paint listed for CRX colors meets Honda standards for impact resistance and flexibility when applied to HP Alloy panels. However, paint that does meet Honda standards is available under the Sunfire 421 label (acrylic urethane) from Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branches listed below. The red, white, and blue are intermix; the silver is a "factory package;" all are good matches. You can call direct or order through your local Sherwin-Williams supplier.
