Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (HO2S 2) Catalyst Monitor

Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (HO2S2):






CAUTION: Care should be used when removing Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Sensor 2, as damage could occur to the HO2S 2 and its wires.

HO2S 2 may be difficult to remove at temperature below 48°C (120°F). Care should be used so as to not damage threads in exhaust pipe.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

CAUTION: If exhaust pipe is hot, care should be exercised when removing HO2S 2 as to not burn yourself on a hot exhaust pipe.

1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. HO2S 2 electrical connector.
3. HO2S 2 from exhaust pipe.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

NOTE: The HO2S 2 comes with anti-seize coating on the new sensor. Care should be used as to not remove any of this coating.

1. HO2S 2 to exhaust pipe. Tighten HO2S 2 to 40 to 50 Nm (29 to 36 ft lb).
2. HO2S 2 electrical connector.
3. Negative (-) battery cable. Tighten negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal.
