Automatic Transaxle

ACCELERATOR CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Accelerator control cable from accelerator pedal.
^ Push accelerator control cable through bulkhead grommet
2. One nut, one bolt, [1][2]PCV hose and air cleaner from throttle body.






3. Accelerator control cable from throttle lever by loosening cable locknut and adjusting nut.

Throttle Valve Cable And Accelerator Control Cable:






4. Accelerator control cable from throttle valve cable by removing cable protector, loosening cable locknut and adjusting nut.
5. Accelerator control cable from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Accelerator control cable to throttle lever; secure with cable locknut and adjusting nut (do not tighten fully).
2. Accelerator control cable to throttle valve cable; secure with cable locknut and adjusting nut (do not tighten fully).
^ Push accelerator control cable through bulkhead grommet.
3. Accelerator control cable to accelerator pedal.
^ Adjust accelerator control cable. Refer to Accelerator Control Cable Adjustment under Adjustments. Adjustments
4. [1][2]PCV hose to air cleaner assembly and air cleaner to throttle body; secure with one nut and one bolt. Tighten air cleaner assembly nut and bolt to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
