Fuel Return Line: Service and Repair

FUEL RETURN AND HOSES REPAIR/REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Fuel filter from underbody. Refer to Fuel Filter / Service and Repair. Service and Repair

Fuel Filter:






2. One clamp and fuel feed outlet hose from fuel feed pipe by fuel tank.
3. One clamp and fuel return hose from fuel return pipe by fuel tank.
4. One clamp and fuel vapor hose from fuel vapor pipe by fuel tank.
^ Lower vehicle.


Engine Compartment Fuel Hoses:






5. One clamp and fuel feed hose from fuel feed pipe in engine compartment.
6. One clamp and fuel return hose from fuel return pipe in engine compartment.
7. Fuel vapor hose from fuel vapor pipe in engine compartment.
^ Raise and suitably support vehicle.

Fuel Pipe Guards:






8. Six nuts and three pipe guards from underbody.


Fuel Pipes And Clamps:




Pipes Clamp:






9. Fuel feed, return and vapor pipe clamps and pipes from underbody.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Fuel feed, return and vapor pipe clamps and pipes to underbody.
2. Three pipe guards to underbody; secure with six nuts. Tighten pipe guard nuts to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
^ Lower vehicle.
3. Fuel vapor hose to fuel vapor pipe in engine compartment.
4. Fuel return hose to fuel return pipe; secure with one clamp.
5. Fuel feed hose to fuel feed pipe; secure with one clamp.
^ Raise and suitably support vehicle.
6. Fuel vapor hose to fuel vapor pipe by fuel tank; secure with one clamp.
7. Fuel return hose to fuel return pipe by fuel tank; secure with one clamp.
8. Fuel feed outlet hose to fuel feed pipe by fuel tank; secure with one clamp.
9. Fuel filter to underbody. Refer to Fuel Filter.
