Fuel Pump Relay: Service and Repair

Fuel Relay:

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove main fusebox cover and engine coolant reservoir from mounting bracket.
3. Remove two main fusebox mounting screws from the fusebox.
4. Carefully release two lock tabs of the relay and remove relay and connector as an assembly from the fusebox.
5. Remove Electrical connector from relay and remove relay from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Reconnect the wiring harness plug to relay.
2. Install fuel pump relay and connector as an assembly to the main fusebox.
3. Install two main fusebox mounting screws to fusebox.
4. Install engine coolant reservoir to mounting bracket and main fusebox cover to fusebox.
5. Reconnect negative battery cable.
6. Verify correct operation to confirm repair.
