With Upgraded Emissions
1. Remove negative battery cable.
2. Loosen TPS attaching screws.
Description:
3. Insert 0.3 mm (.012 in) feeler gage between throttle stop screw and throttle lever.
Description:
4. Inspect the idle speed control (ISC) motor control plunger. If the ISC plunger is touching throttle lever engine must be brought to operating temperature.
5. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC) and turn ignition on.
TPS Adjustment Metro W/ Upgraded Emissions:
6. While observing TPS voltage on the scan tool, turn the sensor until the voltage reading is 0.98 to 1.02 volts.
7. Tighten TPS retaining screws to 2 Nm (18 in.lbs.)
