Drive Shaft Center Bearing - Removal

REMOVAL

NOTE: 3 piece shaft shown, 2 piece shaft typical.

1. Remove propeller shaft.




2. To remove the forward center bearing remove the flange (2) from propeller shaft (3) using bridge 9382 (1).





3. Install splitter 1126 (2) under flange (1).





4. Using Adapter Plug 9676 (1) and a suitable shop press separate the flange from the center bearing.










5. To remove the rear center bearing loosen both collar clamps (2).
6. Pull apart propeller shaft (3).





7. Install Bearing Splitter 1126 (3) behind the center bearing. Install Adapter C-293-3 (1) using a suitable shop press separate the center bearing from the propeller shaft.










8. Slide center bearing (1) off of propeller shaft (2).
