Charge Air Cooler and Hoses - Installation

CHARGE AIR COOLER





1. Position the charge air cooler (1) to the radiator. Secure the charge air cooler (1) in place with a cord or strap.





2. Disengage the upper radiator retaining clips (1, 2).





3. Slightly tilt the radiator/condenser assembly back towards the rear of the vehicle.

CAUTION: DO NOT crimp or bend lines.

4. Partially separate the A/C condenser (2) from the radiator by pushing the A/C condenser (2) up.
5. Install the charge air cooler to radiator bolt (1) located on the passenger side of the vehicle. Tighten the bolt to 8 N-m (71 in. lbs.).
6. Engage the upper radiator clips. Ensure that both clips lock into place.





7. Install the charge air cooler (1) to radiator bolt (3) located on the driver side of the vehicle. Tighten the bolt to 8 N-m (71 in. lbs.).
8. Connect the charge air cooler (1) hoses.
9. Install the viscous fan assembly.Installation
10. Install the lower radiator air seals (4).
11. Install the upper radiator hose at the radiator.
12. Install the upper radiator air seal.
13. Install the A/C condenser fan.
14. Install the headlamp support panel located below the headlamps.
15. Install the grille.
16. Install the front bumper.

18. Fill the cooling system.Service and Repair
19. Connect the AGM starter negative battery cable located inside the vehicle under the instrument panel near the accelerator pedal.
20. Connect the negative battery cable.
21. Start engine and check for leaks. Testing and Inspection Testing and Inspection
