Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable at battery.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable located by the accelerator pedal.
- Take the key out of the ignition lock and wait for approximately 20 seconds.
- Pull down on the isolating connector locking tab (2).
- Pull the connector (1) away from the grounding stud
- Clamp connector under the accelerator pedal so that it cannot make contact with the ground pin.





3. Disconnect the air cleaner inlet (5) and outlet (1) tubes.
4. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector (2).
5. Disconnect the air intake air pressure sensor (3).
6. Remove the air cleaner assembly (4).





7. Drain the cooling systemService and Repair
8. Disconnect the CAC outlet tube from CAC.
9. Disconnect and remove the CAC from the EGR air flow control valve.
10. Disconnect coolant hoses from the coolant recovery bottle.
11. Remove the coolant recovery bottle.
12. Remove the upper radiator hose.
13. Remove the cooling fan and shroud assemblyRemoval
14. Remove the upper fasteners (1), lower fasteners (3), and remove the EGR Tube (4) from the Charge Air Crossover Manifold.





15. Disconnect the IAT sensor electrical connector (1).





16. Remove the rear IAT Sensor Housing Bracket bolts (1).
17. Remove the glow plug module Glow Plug Control Module - Removal.
18. Remove the three nuts and one bolt from the charge air cross over tube.










19. Position the charge air crossover tube forward and disconnect the boost pressure sensor electrical connector.
20. Remove the charge air cross over tube.
21. Remove the fasteners and boost pressure sensor from the charge air cross over tube (3).
