Trailer Tow Module - Description

DESCRIPTION

The Trailer Module (TM) (2) (also known as the trailer connection unit, Trailer Lighting Module/TLM or AAG) is used only on vehicles equipped with an optional factory-installed trailer towing package. The TM is secured to a module mounting strip located within the driver side front seat riser (1) beneath the driver side front seat cushion. There are two mounting tabs integral to the molded black plastic TM housing that are used to secure the module to the module mounting strip with two screws.

Several connector receptacles integral to the upper side of the TM housing contain terminal pins that connect the module inputs and outputs to the vehicle electrical system. The module is connected to the vehicle electrical system through dedicated take outs and connectors of the vehicle wire harness.

The TM cannot be adjusted or repaired and, if damaged or ineffective, it must be replaced.
