Rear A/C Condenser Fan - Operation
OPERATION
The condenser fans for the option rear A/C system are controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) (depending on engine application). When the rear A/C controls are turned on, a request signal is sent to the ECM, which energizes the rear condenser fan relay. The rear condenser fan relay then provides battery current to the two rear condenser fan motors through two 25 amp fuses.
The rear A/C condenser fan control system is diagnosed using a scan tool Testing and Inspection.
The components of the rear condenser fan unit cannot be adjusted or repaired and must be replaced if inoperative or damaged.
