Rear A/C Condenser Fan - Description

DESCRIPTION

The rear condenser fan unit (1) for the optional rear A/C system is located on top of the vehicle behind the rear evaporator housing. Electric condenser cooling fans are used to help remove heat from the rear A/C system, especially during idle conditions. Without cooling fans, A/C system high side pressures would increase and A/C system performance would eventually deteriorate.

The rear condenser fan unit consist of two plastic fan blade assemblies (2) which are driven by 12-volt direct current (DC) motors (3) through two 25 amp fuses (4). The A/C condenser fans are mounted within a plastic shroud with six mounting provisions (5) and two wire harness connectors (6).
