Front Crankshaft Oil Seal - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly Air Cleaner Body - Removal.
3. Drain the cooling system Service and Repair.
4. Remove the lower radiator hose.
5. Remove the serpentine belt Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Removal.




6. Remove the starter blank.
7. Install the Flywheel Locking Tool (1) 9102.





8. Remove the vibration damper bolt (1).










9. Using Vibration Damper Puller (1) 9544, remove the vibration damper (2).

CAUTION: Care must be taken when removing the crankshaft seal. DO NOT damage or gouge the timing chain cover.

10. Using suitable seal puller, remove the front crankshaft seal.
