9325-MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT LOW

For a complete wiring diagram, Refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
The Steering Control Module (SCM) will set this code when all push buttons of the Right Multifunction Steering Wheel Group and the Left Multifunction Steering Wheel Group as well as the push buttons for the Horns are not operating.





1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all DTCs.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

2. RIGHT MULTIFUNCTION STEERING WHEEL GROUP PUSH BUTTONS STUCK
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Right Multifunction Steering Wheel Group harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Right Multifunction Steering Wheel Group.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

3. LEFT MULTIFUNCTION STEERING WHEEL GROUP PUSHBUTTONS STUCK
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Multifunction Steering Wheel Group harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Replace the Left Multifunction Steering Wheel Group.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

4. CHECK CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance between ground and the related circuits.

Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Steering Control Module (SCM).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Repair the circuit shorted to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
