9092-FRONT INTERIOR SECURITY SENSOR LOST COMMUNICATION WITH MIDDLE INTERIOR SECURITY SENSOR

- When Monitored:
When the VTSS is armed.

- Set Condition:
If the Roof Control Module detects a loss of communication with the Intrusion 2 Sensor.





1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off and remove the key from the ignition.
4. Close all doors and arm the VTSS and wait two minutes.
5. Disarm the VTSS turn the ignition on.
6. Turn the ignition on and with the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display 9092-FRONT INTERIOR SECURITY SENSOR LOST COMMUNICATION WITH MIDDLE INTERIOR SECURITY SENSOR?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests

2. CHECK INTRUSION SENSOR 1 DATA 2 CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Intrusion 2 Sensor 4 - way connector.
3. Disconnect the Roof Control Module 6 - way connector.
4. Measure the resistance between the Intrusion Sensor 1 Data 2 circuit at the Intrusion 2 Sensor 4 - way connector to chassis ground.

Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Intrusion Sensor 1 Data 2 circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests

No

- Go To 3

3. CHECK INTRUSION SENSOR 1 DATA 2 CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance of the Intrusion Sensor 1 Data 2 circuit between the Intrusion 2 Sensor 4 - way connector and the Roof Control Module 6 - way connector.

Is the resistance below 3.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Intrusion 2 Sensor with a known good sensor and retry to set DTC. If DTC resets Replace the Roof Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests

No

- Repair the Intrusion Sensor 1 Data 2 circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests
