Tire Pressure Module (TPM)
9045-IMPLAUSIBLE SIGNAL RECEIVED FROM CCN
For a complete wiring diagram, Refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.
- When Monitored:
Ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The TPM Module gets an implausible signal over the CAN B circuit from the CCN. The circuit is continuously monitored.
1. ACTIVE DTC
NOTE: Diagnose all CAN B and C communication failures before continuing.
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With a scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active at this time?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Go To 2
2. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
NOTE: Check for any of the follow conditions:
- Poor wire to terminal connection
- Corroded terminals
- Backed out or loose terminals
- Broken wire internal to the insulation
- Dirty (partial) module ground
Were any of the above condition present?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform TPM VERIFICATION TEST. TPM Verification Test.
No
- DTC is not active at this time. Test complete.
3. CCN IS ACTIVE ON THE CAN B BUS
1. With the scan tool, attempt to communicate with the CCN.
Is the CCN active on the bus?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- No Response From CCN (Cluster) for No Response to the CCN diagnostic procedures.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
4. DTCS STORED OR ACTIVE IN THE CCN
Are any active DTCs in the CCN?
Yes
- Perform the diagnostics for the DTCs. Testing and Inspection
- Perform the TPM VERIFICATION TEST. TPM Verification Test.
No
- Go To 5
5. ACTIVE DTCS IN THE BCM
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs in the Electronic Ignition Switch/Central Gateway Module.
Are any Communication DTCs active in the Electronic Ignition Switch/Central Gateway Module relating to the CCN?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.Testing and Inspection
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
No
- Replace and program the TPM Module.
- Perform the TPM VERIFICATION TEST. TPM Verification Test.
