Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC)
9011-DRIVER SEAT BELT SWITCH CONNECTOR FAULT
For a complete wiring diagram, Refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.
Theory of Operation
When powered, the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) sends a test current to the Driver Seat Belt Switch circuit to verify the integrity of the switch and wiring. Use of the ORC adapter tool to provide a test point as well as a method for opening the shorting bar connections within the ORC harness connector.
- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
This DTC will set if the module detects a connection failure at the Driver Seat Belt Switch or Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) connectors terminals related to the Driver Seat Belt Switch. This code may occur in combination with other active DTCs.
Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Restraints System Pre-Diagnostic Procedure.
