Driver Door Module (DDM)






9006-PASSENGER ENTRY/EXIT LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW

For a complete wiring diagram, Refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
Whenever the module is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the DDM senses an excessive current draw on the Passenger Entry/Exit Lamp Driver circuit, this code will set.





1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
3. Open and close the driver door.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display 9006-PASSENGER ENTRY/EXIT LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

2. PASSENGER ENTRY/EXIT LAMP
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
2. Disconnect the Passenger Entry/Exit Lamp connector.
3. Open and close the passenger door.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display 9006-PASSENGER ENTRY/EXIT LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

No

- Replace the Passenger Entry/Exit Lamp.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

Yes

- Go To 3

3. PASSENGER ENTRY/EXIT LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C1 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the Passenger Entrance/Exit Lamp Driver circuit in the DDM C1 connector.

Is the resistance below 5000 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Passenger Entrance/Exit Lamp Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
