9003-REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT LOW
For a complete wiring diagram Refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.
- When Monitored:
Whenever the HVAC module is awake.
- Set Condition:
When the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit 2 is shorted low.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase HVAC DTC's
2. Change the temperature on the HVAC Control Module.
3. Turn the ignition on and wait 30 seconds.
4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TESTVerification Tests
2. REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR SHORTED LOW
1. Disconnect the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor harness connector.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
3. Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
No
- Replace the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TESTVerification Tests
Yes
- Go To 3
3. REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the HVAC Control Module harness connectors.
3. Measure the resistance between Ground and the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor 2 circuit.
Does the ohm meter read open circuit?
Yes
- Replace the HVAC Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TESTVerification Tests
No
- Repair the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor 2 circuit for short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST Verification Tests
