Driver Door Module (DDM)
9001-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH ILLUMINATION CIRCUIT HIGH

- When Monitored:
Whenever the module is awake.
- Set Condition:
When the Driver Door Module does not sense a voltage change on the Panel Lamps Driver circuit when the park lamps are turned on, this code will set
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
3. Turn the park lamps on and turn the panel lamp dimmer switch from dim to bright several times.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 9001-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH ILLUMINATION CIRCUIT HIGH?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
2. DRIVER POWER WINDOW/MIRROR SWITCH
1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Disconnect the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch C1 connector.
3. Measure the voltage between the Panel Lamps Driver circuit and ground in the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch C1 connector
4. Turn the park lamps on and turn the panel lamp dimmer switch from dim to bright several times and observe the voltmeter.

Does the voltage range from approximately 9.3 volts to 10.5 volts?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 3
3. PANEL LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Turn the park lamps off.
3. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C1 connector.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Measure the voltage between the Panel Lamps Driver circuit and ground in the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch C1 connector.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the Panel Lamps Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 4
4. PANEL LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance of the Panel Lamps Driver circuit between the DDM C1 connector and the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch C1 connector.
Is the resistance below 3.0 ohms?
No
- Repair the Panel Lamps Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
Yes
- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
