Driver Door Module (DDM)






9000-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH ILLUMINATION CIRCUIT LOW





For a complete wiring diagram, Refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
Whenever the module is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the Panel Lamps Driver circuit in the Driver Window Switch senses an excessive current draw for over 500 ms, this code will set





1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
3. Turn the park lamps on and turn the panel lamp dimmer switch from dim to bright several times.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display 9000-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH ILLUMINATION CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

2. DRIVER POWER WINDOW/MIRROR SWITCH




1. With the scan tool, erase DTC's.
2. Disconnect the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch C1 connector.
3. Turn the park lamps on and turn the panel lamp dimmer switch from dim to bright several times.
4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Does the scan tool display 9000-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH ILLUMINATION CIRCUIT LOW?

No

- Replace the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

Yes

- Go To 3

3. PANEL LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Turn the park lamps off.
3. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C1 connector.
4. Measure the resistance between ground and the Panel Lamps Dimmer circuit in the DDM C1 connector.

Is the resistance below 5000 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Panel Lamps Dimmer circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
