4738-MISSING MESSAGE RECEIVED FROM PSM

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on, one valid CAN message received at least once

- Set Condition:
When the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects a missing message from the Programmable Special Module (PSM) for approximately 200 mSec.





1. CHECK IF PROGRAMMABLE SPECIAL MODULE DTCS ARE PRESENT
1. With the scan tool, read the DTCs in the Programmable Special Module.

Are there any Programmable Special Module DTCs present?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Testing and Inspection.

2. PROGRAMMABLE SPECIAL MODULE (PSM)
1. Replace the Programmable Special Module (PSM).
2. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
3. Road test the vehicle.
4. With the scan tool, read ABS diagnostics.

Did DTC 4738-MISSING MESSAGE FROM PSM reset?

Yes

- Replace the Anti-Lock Brakes Module.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Test complete.
