907E-REAR WINDOW HEATER 2 CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH

- When Monitored:
Continuously.
- Set Condition:
When the Body Control Module (BCM) senses an over current on the relay control circuit.
1. ERASE AND ATTEMPT TO RESET DTC'S
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase BCM DTCs.
3. Start the engine.
4. Operate the rear window defogger.
5. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 907E-REAR WINDOW HEATER 2 CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring harness for a possible intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
2. INSTALL KNOWN GOOD RELAY
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Substitute the original Rear Window Defogger 2 Relay with a known good relay.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, erase BCM DTCs.
5. Start the engine.
6. Operate the rear window defogger.
7. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 907E-REAR WINDOW HEATER 2 CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the original Rear Window Defogger 2 Relay.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
3. RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Body Control Module C9 connector.
3. Turn the ignition On.
4. Measure the Voltage of the Heated Rear Window 2 Relay Control circuit at the relay.
Is the Voltage above 1.0 Volt?
Yes
- Repair the Heated Rear Window 2 Relay Control circuit for a short to Voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
No
- Replace the Body Control Module (BCM).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
