Driver Door Module (DDM)






900C-DRIVER DOOR LATCH CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW





For a complete wiring diagram, Refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
Whenever the module is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the Driver Door Module senses an excessive current draw on the driver door latch circuit for over 500 ms, this code will set





1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Close all doors.
4. Operate the door lock switch both directions a few times.
5. Wait 30 seconds.
6. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display 900C-DRIVER DOOR LATCH CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

2. DOOR LATCH




1. Disconnect the Driver Door Latch connector.
2. Using a 12-volt test light, connect one end to the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit and the other end to the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.
3. Operate the door lock switch in both directions a few times.

Does the test light illuminate brightly when the switch is operated in both directions?

Yes

- Replace the Driver Door Latch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 3

3. DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C1 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.

Is the resistance below 5,000 Ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 4

4. DRIVER DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




1. Measure the resistance between ground and the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit.

Is the resistance below 5,000 Ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 5

5. DRIVER DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT




1. Measure the resistance between the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit and the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.

Is the resistance below 5,000 Ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit for a short to the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests ,

No

- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
