Inner Tie Rod End







INNER TIE ROD END





1. Install the inner tie rod (2) to the rack & pinion (1). Tighten the inner tie rod end with special tool to 115 Nm (85 ft.lbs.).




2. Tighten the inner tie rod end using special tool # 10087- 1 or # 10087-4 socket (1) and # 10087-2 tube (2) to 115 Nm (85 ft.lbs.).




3. Install the inner tie rod end boot (2) and reclamp (1) to the tie rod and rack.




4. Install the jam nut (2) to the inner tie rod end (1).
5. Install the outer tie rod (2) the same number of turns when removed .




6. Install the stabilizer bracket clamp (2) back into position and tighten the bolts (3) to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).




7. Install the front wheels.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Perform toe adjustment.
10. Tighten the jam nut (2) after toe adjustment. Tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
