Cooling Fan Serpentine Belt

3.0L COOLING FAN SERPENTINE BELT







1. Position the fan drive belt (2) onto the water pump pulley (1).

2. Position the fan drive belt (2) onto the crankshaft pulley (3).

NOTE: Use only wire ties with nylon locks, not metal.

3. Working from the back side of the crankshaft pulley (3), insert a nylon wire tie, 196.8mm X 3.175mm X 12.7mm (7.75 in. X 0.125 in. x 0.50 in), through one of the holes in the pulley.

4. Use a nylon wire tie to hold fan drive belt (2) in place.

5. Tighten the wire tie to hold the drive belt (2) in position.

6. Using a suitable tool, rotate the crankshaft pulley (3) clockwise

7. Make sure the fan drive belt (2) is fully seated.

8. Install the radiator fan and shroud assembly.
