OPERATION
The condenser fans for the option rear A/C system are controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM) or engine control module (ECM) (depending on engine application). When the rear A/C controls are turned on, a request signal is sent to the PCM/ECM, which energizes the rear condenser fan relay. The rear condenser fan relay then provides battery current to the two rear condenser fan motors through two 25 amp fuses.
The rear A/C condenser fan control system is diagnosed using a scan tool.
The components of the rear condenser fan unit cannot be adjusted or repaired and must be replaced if inoperative or damaged.
