OPERATION

The A/C condenser fans are controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM) or engine control module (ECM) (depending on engine application). When the A/C-heater control is set to any A/C position a request signal is sent to the PCM/ECM, which energizes the A/C condenser fan relay which provides battery current to the condenser fan motors.

The A/C condenser fan control system is diagnosed using a scan tool.

The components of the A/C condenser fan assembly cannot be adjusted or repaired and must be replaced if inoperative or damaged.
