Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Clean the front and rear EGR tube gasket mounting surfaces.




2. Install the EGR cooler (3), the EGR throttle body bracket (2), and the two front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts (1). Do not tighten the front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts at this time.




3. Install the rear EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts (2). Do not tighten the rear EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts at this time.
4. Install a new rear EGR tube gasket.
5. Install the 2 upper rear EGR tube bolts (1). Do not tighten the upper rear EGR tube bolts at this time.




6. Install the front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolt (2). Do not tighten the front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts at this time.
7. Install the 2 upper front EGR tube bolts (1). Do not tighten the front EGR tube bolts at this time.




8. Install the 2 Rear throttle body bracket bolts (1).
9. Tighten the front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts.
10. Tighten the rear EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts.
11. Tighten the upper rear EGR tube bolts.
12. Tighten the front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts.
13. Tighten the front EGR tube bolts.




14. Reconnect the EGR bypass valve position sensor harness connector (1).




15. Reconnect the EGR Backpressure sensor harness connector (1).




16. Reconnect the EGR valve actuator harness connector (1).




17. Reconnect the rear EGR cooler engine coolant hose (1).




18. Reconnect the front EGR cooler engine coolant hose (1).




19. Install the transmission dipstick tube, and the front transmission dipstick tube bolt (1)




20. Install the rear transmission dipstick tube bolt (2) and reconnect the vacuum line (1) to the EGR Bypass Valve Actuator.




21. Reconnect the EGR Temperature Sensor harness connector (1).
22. Install the air filter housing and the EGR throttle body air inlet tube.
23. Install the engine cover.
24. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
