Rear AC







REMOVAL

WARNING: Review safety precautions and warnings in this group before performing this procedure and . Failure to follow the warnings and cautions may result in serious or fatal injury.





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the rear refrigerant system .
3. Remove the accessory drive belt Serpentine Belt.
4. Disconnect the engine wire harness (4) from the clutch coil connector.
5. Remove the bolts (2) that secure the underbody suction line (3) and the underbody discharge line (1) to the rear A/C compressor (6).
6. Disconnect the suction and discharge lines from the rear A/C compressor and remove and discard the O-ring seals.
7. Support the rear A/C compressor and remove the three bolts (5) that secure the compressor to the compressor mounting bracket (7) and remove the compressor.
8. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and compressor ports.
