9804-RIGHT SLIDING DOOR HAS NOT LOCKED - PSM

- When Monitored:
Continuously with ignition on.

- Set Condition:
If the Programmable Special Module (PSM) receives this information from the BCM when it is commanded to perform a function that depends on the Right Sliding Door being locked, this code will set.





Theory of Operation

When the PSM receives a command to perform a special function, it looks at all the variable conditions that must be right. If any one of those necessary conditions are not right, it will not perform that function and will report a DTC to explain why it could not.

Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.
Close all doors.
Operate the door lock switch in both directions a few times.
Turn the ignition off.
Wait 30 seconds.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Are there any Door Lock related DTC,s active?

Yes

- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s).

No

- Examine the door latch for any obstructions that may have caused an intermittent condition. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.
