9503-AUXILIARY CIRCULATION PUMP PERFORMANCE

- When Monitored:
With the Ignition Switch in the on position and the HVAC module awake.

- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Auxiliary Circulation Pump Control circuit is open or shorted to voltage.





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase all DTC's.
Operate the HVAC.
Wait 30 seconds.
With the scan tool, read all HVAC DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests

2. AUXILIARY CIRCULATION PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the A/C Heater Control Module harness connector.
Disconnect the Auxiliary Circulation Pump harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Auxiliary Circulation Pump Control circuit.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the Auxiliary Circulation Pump Control circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Go to 3

3. AUXILIARY CIRCULATION PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
Turn the ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the Auxiliary Circulation Pump Control circuit between the A/C Heater Control Module harness connector and the Auxiliary Circulation Pump harness connector.
Does the ohm meter read open circuit?

Yes

- Repair the Auxiliary Circulation Pump Control circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 4

4. GROUND CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Ground circuit.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the Ground circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Go to 5

5. GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
Turn the ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the Ground circuit between the A/C Heater Control Module harness connector and the Auxiliary Circulation Pump harness connector.
Does the ohm meter read open circuit?

Yes

- Repair the Ground circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Replace the A/C Heater Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests
