9064-SUNROOF MOTOR HALL SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The Roof Control Module (RCM) detects that the Tilt/Sliding Roof Motor supply voltage is less than 4.0 volts for 40 ms.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC IS ACTIVE
Turn the ignition on.
Operate the Tilting/Sliding Roof.
With the scan tool, read RCM DTC's.
Is the DTC status Active at this time?
Yes
- Go to 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
2. SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
Inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals.
Are any of the above conditions present?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 3
3. TILTING/SLIDING ROOF MOTOR
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Check the power and ground circuits to the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor.
Are the power and ground circuits to the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor ok?
Yes
- Replace the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Replace the Roof Control Module (RCM).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
