9063-SUNROOF MOTOR OPERATION ABORTED-STANDARDIZATION INCOMPLETE

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The Roof Control Module (RCM) detects that Tilting/Sliding Roof was activated longer than 25 seconds and was unable to run to the mechanical stop.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC IS ACTIVE
Turn the ignition on.
Operate the Tilting/Sliding Roof.
With the scan tool, read RCM DTC's.
Is the DTC status Active at this time?
Yes
- Go to 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
2. INSPECT FOR AN OBJECT OR SUBSTANCE CAUSING THE TILTING/SLIDING ROOF TO STAY OR STICK IN POSITION
Inspect the Tilting/Sliding Roof and Sliding Roof Lining Guide Rail for anything that would cause the Tilting/Sliding Roof to stay or stick in position.
Is anything present that would cause the Tilting/Sliding Roof to stay or stick in position?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK STOP OF THE PARTICULAR LEARNING RANGE
Check the learned stop range of the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor.
Is the learned stop range of the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor correct?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
4. TILTING/SLIDING ROOF MOTOR
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Check the power and ground circuits to the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor.
Are the power and ground circuits to the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor ok?
Yes
- Replace the Tilting/Sliding Roof Motor.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Check the related wiring and connectors for possible shorts, open circuits, or damage. If wiring and connectors are ok, replace the Roof Control Module (RCM).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
