9028-MASTER SWITCH - PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH STUCK - DDM

- When Monitored:
Continuously
- Set Condition:
When the Master Switch Passenger Window Mux circuit, in the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch, is held below 9.0 volts for longer than 25 seconds, this code will set.
Diagnostic Test
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
Operate the passenger window, from the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch, in all positions several times.
Cycle the ignition from on to off.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display 9028-MASTER SWITCH - PASSENGER WINDOW SWITCH STUCK?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Check for any foreign objects or sticky substance in the Driver Window/Mirror Switch and remove as necessary. Also, using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests
2. MASTER SWITCH PASSENGER WINDOW MUX CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND
Disconnect the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch C1 connector
Measure the voltage between the Master Switch Passenger Window Mux circuit and ground.
Is the voltage above 9.0 volts?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Power Window/Mirror Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests
No
- Repair the Master Switch Passenger Window Mux circuit for a partial short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests
