9023-RIGHT READING LIGHT CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW-RCM

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:
- Continuously
- Set Condition:
- When the Roof Control Module detects a low condition on the Control circuit.





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
Clear all RCM DTC's
Turn the Reading Lamps on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool read: 9023-RIGHT READING LIGHT CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW-RCM?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests

2. RIGHT READING LAMP BULB
Turn the ignition off.
Remove and inspect the right reading lamp bulb.
Is the right reading lamp bulb ok?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the inoperative bulb.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests

3. ROOF CONTROL MODULE
With the scan tool check RCM DTC's.
Is code 9023-RIGHT READING LIGHT CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW-RCM still current?

Yes

- Replace the Roof Control Module (RSM).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests

No

- Test Complete.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests
