9018-TEMPERATURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE (ZHZ)

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
The Temperature Sensor is operating outside of a specified value.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR ANY AUXILIARY HEATER DTCS

NOTE: Make sure the warm water auxiliary heater 2 control unit is not faulty.

NOTE: Make sure the temperature sensor is not faulty.

NOTE: Make sure the overheating sensor is not faulty.

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read active DTC's.
Does the scan tool display any active DTC's?

Yes

- Repair the Temperature Sensor Circuit for a short circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Check the above conditions that can cause a short circuit condition. Repair as necessary.
