9004-ELV LIMIT SWITCH FAULT

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
The Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS) detects an internal failure of the Steering Column Lock Module.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Inspect the wiring and connectors for damage. If ok, replace the Steering Column Lock Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
