9003-PROGRAMMABLE SPECIAL MODULE (PSM) INTERNAL-CHECK SUM ERROR

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
The Programmable Special Module (PSM) detects an internal Check Sum Error.





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.
Using the scan tool, perform Programmable Special Module (PSM) Reset ECU and Load Coding for vehicle application.
Cycle the ignition on and off three times, turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Replace the Programmable Special Module (PSM).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests

No

- Test Complete.
