- When Monitored:
Anytime the Power Sliding Door is awake.
- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Power Sliding Door module senses an excessive current draw during a door opening or closing operation.
Diagnostic Test
1. CHECK FOR DTCS
With the scan tool, record DTC's and any power sliding door inhibitors.
Erase the DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Attempt to operate the Power Sliding Door
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
2. CHECK THE POWER SLIDING DOOR
Turn the ignition off.
Examine the Power Sliding Door for proper alignment, worn or binding rollers and hinges, loose/damaged weatherstrip, and track assembly for wear or anything that would cause an obstruction to proper operation.
Manually operate the Power Sliding Door on a known good vehicle and notice the effort needed to open and close for comparison.
Especially notice the effort needed to open the Power Sliding Door.
Were there any mechanical problems found?
Yes
- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK THE POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE AND MOTOR CONNECTORS
Check the Power Sliding Door Module C1 connector and the Drive Unit Connectors for proper terminal contact, corrosion, damaged terminals, or pinched/broken wires. Check for any electrical problems.
Were any electrical problems found?
Yes
- Repair any wiring or mechanical problems if possible. If the problems cannot be repaired, replace the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Replace the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
